You will be bound by these Terms and Conditions whether you read them or not.

1. Hills Prairie Livestock Horse Sales and its associates act as agents only and are not responsible for buyer/seller errors or misunderstandings. All guarantees are strictly between the buyer and seller.

2. Consignment forms must be accompanied by original registration papers and signed transfer report OR paid in full consignment fee and a copy of registration papers.

3. Consignment fee is $100.00 special session $75.00 regular session $20 open consignment and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

4. If a horse is pulled from the catalog the consigner is still required to pay the consignment fee in full.

5. Commission is 8% of selling price. Pass Outs must be acknowledged before the horse leaves the sale ring. No PO fee is charged.

6. A signed breeder’s certificate must accompany mares selling with foal at side and mares selling in foal. Mares sold guaranteed to be in foal require a vet check letter dated within 30 days prior to the sale date.

7. A current NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST (dated within one year of the sale date) must be given to Hills Prairie Livestock Horse Sale, office at horse’s time of arrival on sale grounds. The coggins test must be an original certificate, no faxes or copies accepted.

8. Horses traveling from out-of-state must also have a Health Certificate dated within 45 days of sale date.

9. If there is more than one transfer provided with a consignment, the consignor will be charged $15 for each additional transfer.

10. The consigner is responsible for delivering any and all necessary paperwork to the office prior to or on sale day. The consigned horses will not be allowed to sell until all paperwork is in the office.

11. Hills Prairie Livestock Horse Sales will not guarantee any paper work or other material associated with selling a consigned horse. If the documents are not presented to the sale office at time of sale the horse will be sold AS IS.

12. At Hills Prairie Livestock Horse Sales, all horses that are ridden and sold through the ring are GUARANTEED SOUND until Monday noon following the Saturday Sale unless otherwise stated from the block.

13. HILLS PRAIRIE LIVESTOCK HORSE SALES consider sound as: Good sight in both eyes, normal respiratory system, cannot be lame, not a cribber, and not parrot mouthed.

14. Checks will be mailed on the Thursday following the sale. All papers on horses purchased will be held by the office until funds clear Hills Prairie Livestock Horse Sale account. This does not apply to cash or credit card purchases.

15. Notice: Videos are welcome and encouraged. There will be two TV’s available at the sale. Our sales are well advertised and buyers travel many miles for an opportunity to buy your horses. Therefore, all consignments must go through the sale ring. NO ALLEY TRADING IS ALLOWED. This is a contract. You are consigning your horse to sell at the HORSE SALE. Horses are advertised and expected to sell AT THE HORSE SALE.
